| In
the summer of 2004, ex-Guns Up guitar player
Sean Bombs approached vocalist JD (bassist
of Shere Khan) about starting a band. JD was
in a band that didn't play often and was eager
to write, he suggested drummer Chris Cox (Hammer
Bros) and the three started jamming. That
summer, those three wrote and recorded what
became their demo that August. While writing
they decided with the name "Shipwreck".
When fall came around, Shipwreck was temporarily
put on hold... Sean went back to school, JD
was playing with Shere Khan, and Chris was
playing with Hammer Bros.. they searched for
a bass player but had little success.. but
by the winter things were looking up. They
got added to the final show of the Guns Up/Have
Heart/Verse winter tour and got ready for.
Sean M. (Hammer Bros) played bass for that
show.. after that show, Sean officially joined
and became the second guitar player... Sean
Bombs asked his friend Nick Dub to play bass
and Shipwreck has been playing shows in the
northeast ever since.. this summer they plan
to release their debut 7"/MCD with
Rumble Records & tour the east coast. Watch out for the wreck!!! |
